Everything
Well Hello.
I am sitting in Yakima at my Sister's house with a lovely smelly little dog by my side. Kobe is going to get a bath as soon as his Mama is out of the shower. :) It is the calm before the storm continues at Wedding Weekend 2014. So much fun already. We are all kind of wandering around in a task-oriented daze. Our beloved Lachelle is getting married on Sunday! Wow! I remember when Shell was figuring out if now was the time to get pregnant again. And how I helped her see that she needed to wait until after MY wedding so I wouldn't have to figure out a voluminous Matron of Honor dress. (As if I thought I would have any influence!) I do believe that right after we were married, Lachelle was in the works.
And now she is going to make that once in a lifetime, momentous, slow walk down the aisle as she holds the gaze of her soon-to-be husband. It's a bit more than this Auntie can think about too much at a time right now....sniff.
I love our family so much. Family to us is EVERYTHING. Family has celebrated together through all the happy times, been there to offer tears of empathy and hugs of support through all the difficult times, and will be there for all the moments in between long into the future.
I have so many many friends that I can count on. I'm SO blessed. But family is blood. When the chips are down and one doesn't really have the emotional energy to rehash the events of the past few weeks, it's nice to just sit quietly with family and feel the love enveloping you without having to ask for it. Family knows. Family feels. Family is everything.
And there is nothing like a wedding to bring everyone together. As this weekend unfolds, I know I will get to love up on precious people that I haven't seen in far too long. We have far flung relatives that are off doing amazing things with their lives and I get to see them and catch up on said amazing things. I can't wait.
Have a great weekend. I have a cute little unsuspecting dog to ambush. He's been my shadow so far this weekend....we will see if that lasts.
Enjoy YOUR family every day....and as always...
....make it a great day!!
